Dating back to Roman times, beef tallow was traditionally used by our ancestors as a sustainable moisturiser before the introduction of petrochemicals. Naturally occurring fat soluble vitamins A, D, E and K – plus conjugated linoleic acid and niacin – absorb easily to help soften fine lines, improve skin tone, and the appearance of UV-damaged skin. Renowned for a dense concentration of oleic acid, palmitic acid, and stearic acid, grass fed beef tallow deeply moisturises to help rebalance natural oil production. Unlike petrolatum-based ingredients, which behave as a barrier cream, tallow is an emollient with occlusive properties that mimics the skin’s natural sebum with the added benefit of antioxidants.

Ultra rich in antioxidants – including polyphenols and squalene – centuries-old olive oil is among the most brilliant emollients occurring in nature. With vitamin E protecting against skin oxidation, and vitamin K which helps to repair damaged skin, the original ‘liquid gold’ olive oil increases skin vibrance, while reducing inflammation and redness.

Cultivated for centuries, raw cocoa butter is known for its ultra rich moisturising properties from fatty acids. With naturally occurring antioxidants, polyphenols – plus vitamin E, F and K – the properties of cocoa butter may support collagen production and retention. Derived from the Theobroma cacao tree, naturally, which translates as ‘food of the gods’ in Greek, cocoa butter also contains phytochemicals that can improve blood flow to the skin. Rich in oleic acid, stearic acid and palmitic acid. Penetrating deeply, raw cocoa butter hosts the greatest number of skin benefits, cocooned in a velvety texture with a mild chocolate aroma.
