There's probably a drawer of them somewhere. Plant oils, botanical serums, things that smelled lovely, sank in within a minute and left your skin roughly where it started.
So you went back to what you knew, or you settled. That isn't because natural doesn't work. It's because most natural skincare is built on the same base as everything else, with a few good ingredients added near the top.
"I dont want to pump and prick my skin to look any younger than I truly am - but I do want to look good." Kerri G., 62
Your skin already makes lipids, including fatty acids. Grass fed and grass finished tallow contains the same ones, which is why your skin recognises it and knows what to do with it. Plant oils aren't close in the same way.
When the base already resembles skin, you don't need fifty ingredients correcting for one that doesn't.
"I applied everything from expensive oils that just sat on top of my skin for hours to expensive moisturising creams. Nothing." Anna K., 50
Skin makes less of its own oil and holds less water, and through menopause that shift speeds up. The neck and décolletage go first, being thinner with fewer oil glands, which is why routines that stop at the jawline stop working there first.
What it's asking for is richness, from the right skin-compatible ingredients.
"At 68 yo my skin needed richness to feel firm again. Only 2 weeks use and my skin is loving it." Lyn C., 68
Night cream. Day moisturiser. Eye cream. Oil. Serum.
A jar of Holy Grail is A$49, and used daily on your face it lasts four to five months. About 35c a day.
The other products come off the shelf.
"I've been using the balm for a few weeks now, and it's replaced everything." Cindy N., 59
The two questions we get most are whether it feels greasy and whether it smells of tallow. It's dense in the jar and melts on contact, so a small amount warmed between your fingers absorbs rather than sitting on top. There's no added fragrance, instead it takes a cocoa-honey scent. The mild scent settles within a minute.
Not all tallow is the same, either. Balancing it into facial skincare is the hard part.
Holy Grail Tallow Balm is Australia's first professionally-formulated tallow skincare, made in a GMP certified facility. Intentionally researched, tested and developed in Australia. Because tallow alone isn't the full story.
"I've tried other beef tallow skin products, but they were either too greasy or not moisturising enough! Tuttofare has got it just right" Lea B., in her mid 60s
“I’m in my 60s and my skin is very dry, sometimes itchy on my T zone. As soon as I smooth on my Tuttofare it’s like my skin lets out a sigh of relief.”
Adele T., in her 60s
"Literally some of the best skin care I’ve used. And I’ve used a LOT of the very expensive, high end ranges. And this is very well priced for the results. I’m getting lots of compliments about how great my skin looks and I’m 56 so that’s music to my ears!! BTW the photo I’ve included is unfiltered and genuinely not touched up."
“At 63 I’m not silly enough to expect miracles however after a week I can see areas of my face looking less wrinkly; especially around the eye lids and upper lip.”
Wendy V., 63
“I’m 50, and my skin feels like silk. I’ve used expensive creams and serums, but I haven’t had the results like I do with Holy Grail.”
Kiri W., 50
If your skin has become drier with age, this is where to start. It's made from Australian grass fed and grass finished tallow, which is unusually close to the oils your own skin produces, so it works with your barrier rather than sitting on top of it. Rich in naturally-occurring fatty acids, it helps skin stay moisturised for longer.
Holy Grail is Australia's first GMP-certified tallow skincare for safety, quality and standards you can trust.
Australian Grass Fed & Grass Finished Beef Tallow, Organic Olea Europaea (Olive) Fruit Oil, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Oil, Organic Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Butter, Olive Squalane, Cera Alba (Beeswax)
Free from fragrance, essential oils and synthetic ingredients. Cocoa-honey scent from natural ingredients.
Warm a small amount between your fingers and press it into clean, slightly damp skin, morning and night. Take it down your neck and across your décolletage while you are there.
Start with less than you think you need. It is far denser than a cream and goes a long way.
The first night. Skin feels comfortable rather than tight. Skin feels hydrated still when you wake up the next morning.
The first week. Less flaking. Dryness around the eyes and mouth settling. Makeup sits better.
The first month. Plumper, dewier and the neck finally catching up with the face.

Not if you use less than you think you need. It is dense in the jar, which surprises people, but it melts on contact. Warm a small amount between your fingers first and it absorbs rather than sitting on the surface. Almost everyone uses too much on the first go.
Yes, and we would encourage it. That skin is thinner and has fewer oil glands than your face, so it tends to show dryness first. One balm covers face, neck and chest.
It does not. There is no added fragrance in Holy Grail, synthetic or otherwise, so what you can smell is the balm itself. It is faint, and it settles within a minute of going on.
A 70g jar used daily on your face lasts most people four to five months, which is about 35c a day.
This compares to around $2 per day for a comparable water-based cream, and significantly less again compared to a multi-step skincare routine.
Yes. If you want to use serum, do that first, balm last, since it is the richest thing in your routine and its job is to sit over the top. Plenty of customers find they stop reaching for the rest once the balm is doing the work however.
Holy Grail is our richest balm and it suits dry, sensitive and mature skin.
The full list is on the product above. It's short, so you may have missed it. Australian grass fed and grass finished tallow, olive, jojoba, cocoa, olive squalane and beeswax. No water, no synthetic fragrance, no filler ingredients. Lipid-rich skincare that works.
